Education Administrator/Assistant Education Leader

The Upper Secondary and Adult Education Board is responsible for the municipality's commitments according to school legislation for upper secondary school, special upper secondary school, municipal adult education, and for a number of higher vocational education programs through decisions from the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education.

The board is also responsible for employment-promoting measures and for the municipal refugee reception. We collaborate to ensure that the municipality's citizens learn, develop, and can live an independent life. We have Sweden's most important job - our mission is to instill hope for the future.

Umeå municipality currently has six approved education programs within higher vocational education, which are conducted at post-secondary level and in several different fields of education. Our students have a wide range and come from many different backgrounds.

Your Responsibilities

The role involves supporting and servicing the operations and our education leaders administratively and communicatively based on our internal routines and working methods. You will be part of a team consisting of a unit manager, coordinator, and several education leaders, and will also collaborate with administrators within other adult education.

You will be an important part of our daily quality work and handle various issues regarding all our education programs and the operations as a whole. You will serve as an active support for our education leaders concerning administration related to students, management group, and the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education. Partial remote work can be discussed.

About You

We are looking for someone with at least upper secondary education. You have a very good knowledge of and previous experience working within higher vocational education. If you have education leader training for higher vocational education and/or experience working in a public and politically governed organization, it is an advantage.

You are structured, service-oriented, communicative, and used to independently prioritize tasks. You maintain very good administrative order and express yourself well in speech and writing, and enjoy collaborating in a solution-focused and unpretentious manner for the benefit of the operations.
